మూడేండ్లకు పూర్వం మా అబ్బాయి శ్రీ టి.యస్‌. సిద్ధార్థ (మా తమ్ముని కుమారుడు) కోడలు టి. అభిలాషల ఆహ్వానం మేరకు నేను అమెరికా వెళ్ళాను. అక్కడ నాలుగు మాసాలు గడిపాను. అక్కడ పరిస్థితులేమంటే, మనను ఆహ్వానించినవారు నిరంతరం పనిలో నిమగ్నులై ఉంటారు; మనతో ఎక్కువ సమయం గడపడానికి వీలుండదు. వారంలో ఐదు రోజులు ఏకాంతంలో (దినము, పూట) గడుపవలసి వస్తుంది. అట్టి పరిస్థితుల్లో ఒకనాడు కందపద్యాలు వ్రాద్దామనే కోరిక కలిగింది. మరిచిపోయిన కంద పద్యం లక్షణం జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకొని వ్రాయడమారంభించాను. ఇక్కడికి వచ్చిన మూడు సంవత్సరాలు గడిచినగాని, ప్రస్తుత కావ్యం పూర్తి కాలేదు. ఇక్కడికి వచ్చిన తరువాత మా కుమారుడు డా. టి.యన్‌. వంశ తిలక్‌ 22.6.2007 'ఫాదర్స్‌డే' సందర్భంగా ''50 స్పిరిట్యువల్‌ క్లాసిక్స్‌'' అనే గ్రంథం నాకు బహూకరించాడు. ఆ గ్రంథాన్ని అధ్యయనం చేసిన తరువాత ఆధ్యాత్మిక విషయంలో నాకున్న కించిత్‌ జ్ఞానంలో అభివృద్ధి కలిగిందన్న భావన కలిగింది. ముఖ్యంగా 1.
